You should be comfortable with basic throwing techniques and able to centre clay consistently. We advise you to have a chat with us if you are unsure and we can clarify what we expect from students at this stage. In general, most students will go through two 6-week beginner courses or practice the equivalent of that before joining the intermediate course.

You'll work on complex forms including lidded vessels, tall jars, planters, teapots, and plates.

You'll make multiple pieces each session, with the opportunity to keep your best work (or as many as you would like to keep). There is an extra charge of £10/kg to cover firing and glazing. The pieces are weighed at the leather hard stage.
