Drop in sessions

Perfect your skills in our open-access studio. These independent practice sessions welcome intermediate makers who have completed a course with us or have previous experience. Work freely with clay while maintaining access to our professional facilities.

Session Details

  • Duration: 2.5 hours

  • Price: £45 per session or £350 for 10 sessions

  • Maximum: 6 people (wheel throwing) or 12 people (handbuilding)

  • Age requirement: 18+

  • All materials and equipment provided

  • Additional £10/kg firing charge for pieces you wish to keep

Important Information

Session Guidelines

  • Studio closes for lunch at 12:30 for one hour

  • Only stoneware clay permitted (unless agreed with studio manager)

  • Session includes up to 4kg of clay

  • Additional clay available for purchase

  • Please allow at least 15 minutes for cleanup

Requirements

  • Previous experience required

  • Familiarity with basic ceramic health and safety

  • Understanding of proper studio etiquette

  • No tutoring provided, though staff available for guidance

FAQ’s

  • You should be comfortable working independently and familiar with basic ceramic techniques. This will be assessed by one of our members in an informal chat.

  • Yes, subject to availability and your experience level.

  • Bring your own apron and wear appropriate clothing for working with clay.

  • You can reschedule your booking up to 7 days prior to the booked date.

  • Limited storage available for work in progress. Please discuss with studio manager.

  • Parking in the space is very limited, but there is parking available at the nearest ASDA, 5-10 minutes walking from the studio.
