Course Details

  • Duration: 2.5 hours × 6 sessions

  • Maximum: 12 students

  • Age requirement: 18+

  • All materials and equipment provided

  • Additional £10/kg firing charge for pieces you wish to keep

Weekly Journey

  • Week 1: Introduction to design principles and planning your pieces

  • Week 2: Mastering essential techniques (coiling, pinching, and slabwork)

  • Week 3: Working with larger forms

  • Week 4: Exploring texture and surface treatments

  • Week 5: Creative decorating methods

  • Week 6: Introduction to glazing techniques

  • No prior experience required. This course starts with the basics and builds progressively.

    • Week 1: Introduction to design principles and planning your pieces

    • Week 2: Mastering essential techniques (coiling, pinching, and slabwork)

    • Week 3: Working with larger forms

    • Week 4: Exploring texture and surface treatments

    • Week 5: Creative decorating methods

    • Week 6: Introduction to glazing techniques

  • You'll make multiple pieces each session, with the opportunity to keep your best work (or as many as you would like to keep). There is an extra charge of £10/kg to cover firing and glazing. The pieces are weighed at the leather hard stage.

  • We will try our best to accommodate you into one of our other classes, but spaces are limited and availability is not guaranteed.

  • Parking in the space is very limited, but there is parking available at the nearest ASDA, 5-10 minutes walking from the studio.
